Sleep Deprivation May Affect Police Performance, Safety

Sleep deprivation may affect 40% of North American police officers.

Did you know twenty minutes of hypnosis is the equivalent of 3 hours of sleep?

On a subconscious level the Officer’s mindset goes into “double time” when falling asleep.  When there is too much activity in the mind, falling asleep and sleeping through the night can be challenging.  Shift work, especially the midnight shift, is challenging and disrupts normal sleep patterns.  Working “Mids” can also be isolating.  Sleep provides a means to regenerate and recuperate.  It is also a time when you surrender the ego and have no control; for some, the idea of this can be terrifying, especially the fear of what might happen without their knowledge.  Over time, sleep deprivation can take a toll on work performance and the officer’s well-being.  Hypnosis reduces the activity in the mind and allows the physical body to relax—which is conducive to sleep.
