Hypnosis

The Thinking MindHypnosis is a natural state of selective, focused attention.  Our ability to enter this unique state of consciousness opens the doors to countless possibilities for healing, self-exploration, and transformation.

Hypnosis is a safe communication to the part of mind that feels rather than thinks. The logical mind is the thinking mind–it knows what to do to have a productive life. The emotional mind continually contradicts the logical mind’s desires when under stress. Hypnosis offers the easiest access to the subconscious part of the mind; through hypnosis the subconscious can be most readily influenced to bring about the changes you desire. It can neutralize or reduce stress and allows successful change and improvement in your life.

Stress can be interpreted as any time we are not feeling at peace. Hypnosis offers a heightened degree of relaxation not readily available with other modes of improvement techniques. By learning self-hypnosis techniques you can directly communicate to your subconscious or inner mind where the conflict resides.

Entry into this part of the mind is not readily available when the mind is overactive. The conscious mind in normal every-day thinking has many, many thoughts existing simultaneously. Even as you read this article you will notice your mind has many other thoughts unrelated to what you are reading. An example may be, when you wish to accomplish a goal and you begin to feel internal conflicts or contradictions that keep you from accomplishing your goals. Imagine your mind thinking of the goal and you experience many thoughts that distract or intimidate you from achieving what you desire. Procrastination, feeling of inadequacy and lethargy are good examples of this conflict.

Hypnosis through the technique of focused concentration can quiet all activity through a technique called monodeism–interpreted as a singular thought, emotion or feeling.

The role of the mind and emotions is vital to your well-being. It is only a part of the overall picture, but it is the part that is often overlooked. By understanding this relationship you can understand yourself more deeply and thus can claim a greater role in your own well-being.
